Biography



Selena Marie Gomez, born on July 22, 1992 in New York City, New York is an eighteen year old accoplished singer, actress, clothing designer, and charity ambassador.

Selena started out on "Barney & Friends" (1992) as "Gianna" in 2001. She is widely known for her role as Alex Russo in Disney Channel's Emmy Winning show Wizards of Waverly Place. Selena has played many roles in multiple movies. She has starred in Another Cinderella Story (2008) plus two Disney Channel Original Movies, Princess Protection Program (2009) and Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie (2009). She made her big screen debut in Ramona and Beezus (2010).

Selena is also a widely known singer. Her debut album was Kiss and Tell. She is currently the lead singer in the band Selena Gomez and the Scene.

Along with Gomez's succes in the actor and singer worlds, she is also a fashion designer. Her line, Dream Out Loud is sold at Kmart.
